R4LA now an official chapter of ISF!

 From our Chief Scout, Ken Pataky:

"Congratulations to R4LA! Our application has been accepted, and we are now a full member chapter of the International Scout Fellowship (ISF), a partner organization with the World Federation of Independent Scouts (WFIS). ISF is a network of adult Scouts dedicated to fellowship and service to independent world Scouting as well as to the community. https://isf-world.org/"

Welcome Packet and R4LA website

 I have added a Membership Welcome Packet to the Resources page. This is an essential reading source for those just joining the Crew or those interested in what we do. It combines several essential documents and outlines steps new members need to take upon joining. Hopefully it clarifies the joining process for Rovers!

I have also added a tab with a link to the official R4LA website. Please check them all out!

Rover Activity - Orienteering

 On March 27th we met in Bountiful to consolidate socks from March's service activity. It was a great turnout of donations that will help a lot of people keep their feet warm! Thank-you to everyone that helped.

We met and discussed Crew business. Lance created a stand and the Crew flag, so we now have the Crew flag, the flag of St. George, and the American flag for display at Crew meetings! He's been of great service to the Crew.

He also headed the activity and taught us about using the compass. He taught us how to orient the compass on a topographic/survey map, how to use the compass lens to keep our bearings, and the difference between magnetic north and true north.

New Class B Shirt

EDIT: For some reason the listing for this shirt got taken down, so I created another listing. The link has been fixed. I altered the design a little, putting R4LA (Rovering 4 Life Association) on the left sleeve instead of on the chest.

~~~~
Hello everyone,
A new Class B T-shirt design is available at the Class B store for AMRC. It has the Crew crest on the right sleeve, reflecting its placement on the Class A uniform, a print of the Crew neckerchief on the back, and "Rovering: Chivalry in Action" on the back, which is taken from a quote from Rovering to Success:
"Chivalry, like other points of character, must be developed by thought and action, but when gained puts a man on a new footing and a higher one with himself and the world."
It comes in charcoal, green, blue, and white, reflecting the Crew colors. The collar has the flag of St. George printed across it, and the shirt front says "Rovering 4 Life Association" and "Aspen Mountain Rover Crew" on the right chest.
This shirt is intended to be worn by Crew members only, and is intended for non-formal events.
I hope the Crew enjoys the new design!
