This post has been a long time coming! On Saturday April 16, the Aspen Mountain Rover Crew traveled to Antelope Island and hiked the Dooly Knob (Frary Peak) trail. We didn't make it all the way to Dooly Knob, but Candidate Alex made it about 1/3 of the way, and RSL Sarah and Rover Mate Lance made it more than halfway. We had a guest with us, the RSL's cousin Peter. There were spectacular views of the drying inland sea bed and the purple Wasatch Mountains to the east.

A New Year of Rovering!
We gathered as a Round Table and planned out general activities for the year. We have exciting things coming up, including a hike out at Antelope Island, a Crew campout, target shooting, swimming, Squire Reception and Rover Knighting, and more! It's going to be a great year of Rovering, and I hope more adults will join us and experience the fun and growth that Rover scouting can offer. If you want to learn more, please contact us from the Contact page!

Reach Out Today Assembly!
On Dec. 11 we got together and assembled the hair hygiene kits for Reach Out Today, a local charity in Ogden whose focus is on underserved youth. It's good to know our kits will go to kids to help them look nice and feel good about themselves so they can go to school and other places. We enjoyed sharing the spirit of family and scouting as we assembled the kits, and the kits were delivered directly to the charity drop off. Alex, our former Crew Apprentice, is also joining R4LA and AMRC as a Candidate!

Reach Out Today Service Project
For this holiday season, our Crew has chosen to do a service project for Reach Out Today, a charity organization that provides for the needs of local youth. We'll be assembling hair hygiene kits for youth in need and for pop-up salons.
